With the higher need for gaming desks, Arozzi has gone into the market full force with their new gem in waiting. The Arena Leggero is the perfect desk for those of us with very little room for a full-size desk. The Leggero’s size makes it a good alternative, and it is still a very stable desk. Tie in the fact that it has the excellent cable management cutouts, the sturdy metal leg frames, and the full-size mouse pad, it matches up to the standards of its big brother the Arozzi Arena gaming desk. See our previous review here.
The Desktop
It’s not very often that you have the opportunity to find one quality desk let alone two, however, the Leggero stacks up very well against the Arena desk we reviewed last week. With the same sturdy steel legs and an MDF surface as its bigger brother, the Arena Leggero is a very similar gaming desk but made for smaller environments, like apartments, bedrooms, or dorm rooms.
Like the Arena, the desk’s top has three cable management holes for easy wire routing. You can fit all of your cables without any issues, and still, have room left for any new peripherals that you want to add later on. The ability to keep the cables away from your feet, and organized without having a big knot behind your system is a huge help if you care about the look of your desk.
The Leggero also has a great weight capacity as it holds up to 143.3 lbs when you distribute it evenly. What this means for you is even if your gaming rig is big, you’ll still be able to get it up and off the floor while even after you’ve factored in your multi-monitors and other geeky accouterments.
The desk is smaller than the Arena, though, coming in at only 45” wide compared to the 63” of the original. Adding a monitor arm mount to the back of the desk which will save you valuable surface.
The next great feature about the desktop is the full-size mouse pad that ships with each desk. The big difference in the mousepads between the Leggero and the Arena is the shape. While the bigger Arena desk had one side with a curve on it, the Leggero desk is completely flat on all sides.
While this may not work towards ergonomics it does make it easy to put the Leggero up against any wall or even in a corner somewhere in your room. Made of the same quality materials as the Arena desk mouse pad, it is only a little bit thinner, but still just as durable. Couple that with the ability to wash it whenever it is dirty, and you have a quality desktop for yourself. Other than on the black version of the desk, the mouse pad color is black with red stitched trim.
It’s all about that base
The arguably most important part of any desk is its foundation, the legs. The legs on the Leggero are made of the same steel that holds up so well on the Arena desk. The legs come in three colors on this model, and consist of Black, Red, and White. Each leg has the Arozzi logo embedded into the steel to give it that little bit of branding, and it looks very stylish. It’s also held together by some heavy-duty screws, bolting tightly to the bottom of the desktop for added stability.
The legs have four rubber feet legs so that you can adjust them for added stability and control of how your desk sits on your floor. Once you have the perfect adjustments on your desk sit back and get ready to have some fun gaming or anything because this desk is good for more than just gaming.
Setup and Assembly
Once again, the Arozzi series of desks are super sturdy and super easy to put together. Along with only about five or six pages of actual directions, the box comes with everything segmented into its little slot. Separators keep everything nice and tidy to prevent damage to the product during shipping. Each bag of pieces came sorted by section, and this allows you to quickly and accurately put the desk together. In total, I spent maybe twenty to twenty-five minutes putting this desk together.
Conclusion
Arozzi has done it again with the newest member of the family, the Arena Leggero Gaming Desk. Being able to quickly and easily set it up in any spot in your house or apartment allows you to get the right to gaming without spending all afternoon putting your desk together. It isn’t too big and it isn’t too small, which was my worry. Instead, this desk is just right (and combines with the original Arena to make a nice “L” shaped corner desk!)
With this being my second product from Arozzi, I can tell you that even if I don’t ever review another of their products in the future, I would certainly spend my own money with confidence. These are the best, highest quality desks I’ve ever used and they have some core features that do help make my gaming setup better than a normal desk. At $299, what the Leggero offers is certainly worth the price of buying in.
